How did you attract/address your audience?

In order to attract my audience I used youtube annotations which highlighted the way in which my film opening linked with other films with the War genre. My annotations referred to similar genre conventions, use of music similarities with other movies and what I have identified as the unique selling point of my film introduction, as I wanted to attract a similar audience to that of Saving Private Ryan and other films of this genre. I followed the typical conventions that made these types of films successful such as memories from family members of lost ones. As well as this music became a big factor in my film introduction which helped attract my audience.

I used a young boy to help my target audience relate to the film as my target audience are most likely to have grandchildren, so the use of a younger man will help with the emotion of the film. I would do this so that they could also compare this to life back then and this is what I would want the audience to feel compassion towards the main protagonist.
