Example 4- Funny People

I chose to do this trailer because so far I have only done Horrors so I decided that I would look at a Rom-Com to give myself a few options. I really like these shots because they are so varied and there is many different locations.
I think that the location of this shot is absolutely incredible. I really like the way that the camera is angled, slightly upward towards the person standing on the balcony, as it gives me the feeling that he is some importance in the film.
I think that is nice that the camera jumps from looking up to him to then looking down to what he is seeing and it makes the audience feel part of the mans life. I also think that the views in this shot are amazing as there are just wide-open spaces. I think that it is nice to have the voice of the man talking in the background as this really creates a mood and sets the scene.

I really like this shot because of the actors face and also because of the reflection in the car widow of the plane. This shot is really cool because you can see where the actors are going, through the reflection of the window. I would really like to do something like this in my opening titles because I think it is really interesting. The same kind of thing is shown in the second shot but I think it is much better, simply because of the voice over when the actor is looking at the picture. It is clear that the man is a fan of the other and the fact that he is reflected in the picture could represent that he wants to be like him and that he is less important that him.
I really like the location in this shot, as it is a beautiful for the scene setting and creating an atmosphere. The different colours really draw in the eye.
I really like this shot because of the camera focus. It is very clear to see the man on the phone, which, to me, shows that this is what we are meant to be watching and this man is very important.
I like this shot because of the light creeping through. I think that this also can create an atmosphere and I really think that it does. To me it gives of the impression that there is a glimmer of hope in the darker days, which really goes with the words being said in the trailer.
I like this shot because of the camera angle. I think that it is really affective being far away because it looks like the man is alone with all of his feelings and just enjoying freedom. I also think that the words that are said over the top are very affective as it really represents coming out of ‘having one foot in the door’, the shadows of the pool and then ‘being in the moment for the first time’, the light of the pool.
Again in this shot I really like the background as it really sets the scene. I would love to have a shot like this in my opening titles as it really makes the actors seem tiny compared to the big open spaces around them.
