Example 10- The Pacific

I chose these opening titles because it is the best one I have ever seen. I think that there is so many different shots and effects that it would be amazing if I could re-create an opening title sequence like this.
I really like this title because it very different to normal films. It gives me the impression that the chalk represents bombs and throughout the film it become clearer. I think that the fact that it is being drawn represents the next shot about the man’s face, which then comes into the next few shots.

I really like these 3 shots because I think that they are really well put together. I think that the effect of the mans face being drawn and then coming into focus really draws the audience into the film. I also think that it brings out some really strong emotion in the film as we are really close to his face and then we see the transition of what he is about to be doing. This would be a really amazing thing to re-create and I would really like to do it.
I like this shot because of the closeness of the camera in the big group of people. I think that this is a really effective shot because it makes me feel like I am part of the group of people, which again drags me into the film.

I really like these shots because of the lighting. I think that it is really affective how the shot starts of black and then you hear a lightning sound and then the shot come up. This really grabs my attention and draws me into the film.

Again I love these shots because of the affect. They look so well drawn and then they come into focus and you really are intrigued by it.

I think that this shot is really affective because of the lighting. I think that because of the background being dark and then there being a very subtle bomb sound and the red colour coming in it represents the blood being shed. I think that the scattered ground is really affective as it is very noticeable and makes you realize what is happening. I think that the second and third shots go really well with the first because it almost looks like the chalk being broken off is like a bomb going off and I think that this makes it look really cool as it goes from the war to the chalk, which I think is really affective. This really re-inforces my idea of the chalk representing bombs.
I think that this shot is really cool because as I said about the last shot I think that there is a connection with the chalk and the actual war and in this shot they are both there. This is a really affective camera angle and I think it is a very clever shot. I would like to have a split screen like this in my opening titles because it is really affective.
